I had an insightful conversation with a friend today. Not with a close friend (maybe not yet a close friend). It was a fruitful 1hr plus, indeed.

Idealism vs Realism
Realistic people are more likely to be successful in life.
I guess the definition of 'successful' here is to be able to have a strong career and $$$. Success does not always bring happiness though...
Idealistic people get satisfaction in their pursue of dreams.However, without $$$ how long can they walk their paths?

I was a idealistic girl but right now I need to be more realistic.
We will never get the best of both worlds.
Which combination should i take? It may not be up to me to control though.
If Given the option, i hope i can make my choice. After that I would have to be resposible for my own decision.


Pressure vs Pleasure
人生啊！离不开压力，更需要乐趣。
2 words with seemingly opposite meanings.Most people may think they are mutually exclusive.
Just a few minutes ago, i came across the phrase " The Pleasure of Pressure".

Hmmm...pleasure of pressure. It got me thinking. How should i interprete it? I figure out that it's all about perceptions. Pressure brings stress, troubles, worries, problems. Pressure also brings determination, anticipation, problem solving skills into the picture.It is through all the hardships that you grow as a person...a better person. Count that as pleasure in life, why not? Those things do make life better.
I can't ask you to enjoy the process of hard times, i just ask that, you would face the difficult times bravely with the correct mentality. Learn. Fall. Learn. Improve. Grow.

苦尽甘来. The contrast of the good times and bad times makes pleasure more valuable and enjoyable. It is because of pressure that's why we need pleasure as our reward.


A new concept i learn today! Sustainable Idealism. 5 stages of humans needs to fulfill.
Stage 1: Basic Needs-food,water
Stage 2: Home/shelter, security
Stage 3: Relationships
Stage 4: Dreams
Stage 5: Idealized Goal

I'm at the middle of stage 3/4! Thanks to Papa, Mama=]
and yes, like what my fren said I cannot and shouldn't blame you for not able to teach me everything in life or not able to give me the level of exposure I would like to have when i was young. I swear i never ever blame papa, mama for that. I only wonder. I only wished that I would be able to learn those things like other kids. It's alright worx. I can compensate that part by myself, now.=]

Stage 3. To complete this stage is not easy worx. What if i never find the right one?
Then I would have to move on still...to stage 4 which may be a even harder mildstone in life.

I need a dream. A big dream to keep myself motivated. Actually a small dream also can.
人因梦想而伟大！我也要做伟大的人。

Stage 5. Wait till i fulfill the 4 stages, then I will tell you more about that.

I feel so blessed these few days.
幸福是知道有这么多的人在关心着我，祝福着我。
幸福是知道有人在注意着我，关怀着我。

Birthday is a wonderful occasion to realise how loved you're.
You're a fortunate girl you know?

Now that i have grown up, birthday presents aren't important anymore.
I feel happier when i receive blessings and messages. Those are the intangible things that would stay with me throughout my life.

Friends who spent time and effort organising celebrations for you are people who really want you to feel happy. They want you to feel special on YOUR Day^_^
